The works consist of a new single storey building constructed next to the existing Butterstream Unit (dementia). The new block will join up to the existing unit via two linking corridors. The building will provide twelve ensuite bedrooms, a kitchenette with dining room, a day room, cleaners store & boiler room constructed around a courtyard garden.
Gross floor area of the proposed building including linking corridors is 910 sq meters. The courtyard garden is an additional area of 315 sq meters.
Mechanical services shall include soils and waste, water services, ventilation, heating services with boiler room, building management system and natural gas insallation.
Electrical services shall include power distribution, site lighting, lighting and fire protection installation, communication and security services.
