Short description
From funding received from Science Foundation Ireland, The Dublin Institute For Advanced Studies seeks to purchase a dry adiabatic demagnetization refrigerator (ADR) cryostat with one optical window and a capacity to be deployed at suitable optical to near-IR observatories around the world.
A detailed specification of requirements is set out in Section 2 of the main Tender Document. Tenders must comply with the format of tender as set out in Section 3.
DIAS reserves the right to purchase additional equipment in accordance with the terms of the winning proposal.
Proposals shall be submitted via E-tenders on or before noon of October 13th 2017

Description of the procurement
The Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS) is a statutory corporation established in 1940 under the Institute for Advanced Studies Act of that year. It is a publicly-funded independent centre for research in basic disciplines. DIAS has three constituent schools:
The School of Celtic Studies
The School of Theoretical Physics
The School of Cosmic Physics
Using the Universe as a natural laboratory from the centre of the Earth to the edges of the observable universe, the School of Cosmic Physics is currently organised in two broad sections Astronomy & Astrophysics, and Geophysics.
