Waterways Ireland invites an initial Tender for the following lots:
Lot 1 - Weed Cutting Boat (4 units)
Lot 2 - Weed Harvester (1 unit)
Tenders may be submitted for one or both lots.

Description of options:
The following items shall be quoted for as optional extras:
1. An individually priced list of normal service and repair/replacement parts for the engine, the hydraulic system, the cutter-bar, the front-loading forks and the trailing knives.
2. To design and incorporate a winch and pulley system for retrieving the trailing blades. Any design to incorporate a winch system for retrieving the trailing blades will be considered
3. Tenderers must submit a proposal for servicing and repair of the vessel(s) by the supplier or their agent, for a period of 5 years post delivery of the equipment. The proposal must show a methodology for how the maintenance and repair will be provided and the service level that will be put in place to affect scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair. It is suggested that scheduled maintenance is performed outside the cutting season so that vessel are prepared for operational use as soon as required. As key ietms or operational plant items Waterways Ireland would expect that during the peak weed cutting/harvesting season unscheduled maintenance and repair should be completed and the equipment fully operational within 48 hours of being reported to the maintenance providers.

Description of options:
Tenderers shall price for the following options:
Option 1: The cost of supplying a listed kit of normal service and repair/replacement parts for both the engine and cutter bars.
Option 2: Any other option the supplier deems appropriate e.g. alternative engines, alternative types of conveyor belt, lightweight operators cab, trailing Blades eye hooks. Etc
Option 3: Tenderers must submit a proposal for servicing and repair of the vessel(s) by the supplier or their agent, for a period of 5 years post delivery of the equipment. The proposal must show a methodology for how the maintenance and repair will be provided and the service level that will be put in place to affect scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair.
