Short description

The objective of this request for proposals is to form a multi-party framework for UCD of suitably qualified tenderers to design and supply open protocol fully-integrated access control and security systems as outlined in the Technical Specification. It is UCD’s intention to procure an open protocol access control solution that can co-exist with the existing systems on campus and allow for integration of future access control and security systems. The initial contract will include a pilot project for proof of concept and/or provision of services.
The works are divided into two Lots:
- Lot 1 Access Control
- Lot 2 CCTV

Description of the procurement

It is expected that those suppliers to whom a framework agreement is awarded will be listed in the tender documents for building contracts, and the successful building contractor will be required to contract with one of the named suppliers (or their approved installers or agents). In addition, UCD (or one of its subsidiaries) may also purchase goods and services from successful framework suppliers in accordance with the ordering procedures set out in the framework agreement, or through mini-competitions in accordance with the framework agreement.
It is the intention that a framework agreement will be awarded to a maximum of three suppliers for each lot, which will be awarded on the basis of being the most economically advantageous tenderers.
