The 96 well model of the seahorse machine supports the comparison of the larger numbers of conditions typically required for metabolic experiments, as compared to other formats such as the 24 well machine currently in TBSI. Additionally, this 96 well machine measures the equivalent metabolic parameters from smaller numbers of cells, which is crucial when working with primary cells or human samples.
