Short description

“IÉ” seeks Expressions of Interest from Applicants for a Project to repower Repower a minimum of 22 locomotives and a maximum of 24 locomotives from our fleet of JT42HCW Diesel electric locomotives manufactured by Electro Motive Diesel "EMD", designated by IE as Class 201.
This requires the supply of a Diesel Electric solution compliant with emissions regulations as set out in the contract documents .
The objective of the project is to deliver a significant reduction in fuel consumption based on current passenger / freight duty cycles and operational routes and also deliver significantly higher reliability.
The successful Contractor is responsible for delivering all aspects of the project e.g. re-build, commissioning, testing, warranty support and compliance with all IÉ and Commission for Railway Regulation requirements.
IÉ reserves the right to select either lot 1 or 2 or not to award any contract on foot of this notice
