Short description

The NUI Galway campus has an extensive wired and wireless network. Its existing firewall infrastructure is nearing end-of-life and requires replacement. This infrastructure includes:
• External border routers connecting to HEAnet
• All switch/routing infrastructure connecting border routers to firewall
• Firewall and Web security capabilities
• All switch infrastructure providing DMZ connectivity
The single-party framework agreement to be established from this procurement process includes the provision, installation, commissioning and on-going monitoring and support of this infrastructure. The framework may also be used for related networking equipment that may be required over its lifetime. The framework duration is for a period of 4 years with an initial contract to be awarded for a period of 3 years with the option to renew, subject to review and satisfactory performance, for a further period of up to 3 years.
