ESB invites expressions of interest for the following:Design, manufacture, delivery and installation of Boiler components on the three 305MWe, Foster Wheeler natural circulation single furnace coal-fired boilers at Moneypoint Generating Station. This work will include boiler reheater pressure part replacement including tubing with all attachments and fittings. Refurbishment work on the three are expected to take place during outages in 2018 (two units in series) and in 2019 (one unit). Outage dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
ESB Moneypoint Generating Station is located in the Shannon estuary in the south west of Ireland, near Kilrush in Co Clare.

Description of the procurement

This Framework is for the design, manufacture, delivery and installation of Boiler components on the three 305MWe, Foster Wheeler natural circulation single furnace coal-fired boilers at Moneypoint Generating Station. This work will include boiler reheater pressure part replacement including tubing with all attachments and fittings. Refurbishment work on the three units will take place during outages in 2018 and 2019. Outage dates may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
The scope of works will include boiler reheater pressure part replacement including tubing with all attachments and fittings using high creep strength materials and medium chromium steels including X20CrMoV121 or equivalent. All works shall be in compliance with applicable boiler codes and statutory requirements of the jurisdiction. All support service works such as scaffolding, insulation works, NDT etc. will be included in the scope.
From this prequalifying process, ESB GWM will select a bid list of suppliers. A tender will issue for Units 1 and 3 to be completed in 2018. Arising from this tender process the 2018 works will be awarded to the successful tenderer and a place on the Framework panel will be awarded to the 4 highest ranked tenderers from this competition. A tender will be issued thereafter for the third unit to this panel of 4 suppliers.
