The Contracting Entity is tendering to establish a Framework for Subject Matter Experts in Hydrogeology&Groundwater Investigations in respect of:ZOC,Delineation,Desk Studies&Field Assistance&Groundwater Supply Detailed Design&Scoping of Works and Field Investigations.Framework will consist of approp. qualified&experienced individual groundwater consultants who will provide expert groundwater&hydrogeological services,primarily pursuant to Irish Water’s obligations under the Water Services Strategic Plan,National Water Resources Plan&through the implementation of the Drinking Water Safety Plan approach to be adopted at each water supply,as required by the EPA.Hydrogeologist &/or groundwater engineer will provide expert specialist advice,site supervision&prepare expert reports as required by Irish Water on the basis of on-site assessments,observing any ground investigations&testing,combination with available data

Description of the procurement

-Groundwater Zone of Contribution (ZOC)
delineation using GIS desk study works, as per best
practice
-Observe groundwater supply source pump testing.
-Assist in geological logging of exploration borehole
drilling or by logging camera surveys.
-Enter data into Excel cells for predefined database
parameters,to complete the groundwater database
(format to be agreed with Irish Water).
-Irish Water may also require appropriately qualified
and experienced hydrogeology consultant
