Description of the procurement

The National Transport Authority and Dublin City Council are seeking to jointly appoint a service provider to provide the communication services, inclusive of the provision of a full-time Communications Director, who will be responsible for the communications aspects related to various public / sustainable projects being undertaken by the Authority and/or the Council.
The scope of the services includes communications services in respect of:
• the planning and implementation of the proposals set out in the Dublin City Centre Transport Study, published jointly by the Council and the Authority in 2016 (inclusive, inter alia, of proposals related to the Quays, car park signage, College Green, bus lanes, Liffey Cycle Route, other cycle projects, pedestrian enhancements plus pedestrianisation areas, public realm improvements;
• a redesign of the subvented bus services currently operated in the Dublin Area by Dublin Bus;
• the planning and implementation of projects to deliver an enhanced bus system inclusive of a major expansion of bus lanes and the implementation of Bus Rapid Transit on a number of busy bus corridors;
• the planning and implementation of park and ride facilities linked to public transport provision; and
• the planning and implementation of ancillary projects in the areas of fares, ticketing systems, information provision, branding and vehicle technology.
