Fingal County Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified contractor/s to provide service desk and infrastructure services to replace the existing internal provision of such services. This managed service will include service desk telephone support, deskside support at our two main user sites, field support at other Council sites, application support and infrastructure support. In addition to providing managed services, the contractor is expected to provide project based services to manage and deliver change within the infrastructure and service desk environments.

Description of the procurement

Fingal County Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified contractor/s to provide service desk and infrastructure services to replace the existing internal provision of such services, whilst facilitating expansion of services to meet new and future needs.
The primary aim of the contract is to provide a range of service desk and IT infrastructure-related services designed to meet the needs of Fingal County Council. These services include ITIL type services for the following draft scope: service desk / helpdesk, managed servers, managed desktop devices (PCs, tablets, etc.), managed storage, managed VOIP, managed network and related security. Included in this scope will be the ability to deal with change in volume and scope of supported devices as new devices become available, and project- and consulting-based services required to deliver changes to the current and future transformed environments.
