Short description

This tender is to allow the appointment of the full Design Service to complete the design and delivery of a new seven-storey (7) building with rooftop plantroom on the site of University Hospital Galway, a busy acute hospital. The project will accommodate a new Emergency Dept (2 floors) and Women's and Children’s Service (5 floors). It is envisaged that the project will be completed in phases. The first phase will include the entire building main structure, enclosure and all external services, full completion of the Emergency Department and all services, the rooftop plantroom serving the entire building, provision for vertical service routes to the ED and intermediate floors, external service routes and all ancillary works. The building will be linked to the existing hospital on all floors. The Design Team shall ensure that the project is planned and developed to provide the desired project outcomes and continuity of operational hospital activity over the full project duration
