Short description

Smart Dublin and the Grangegorman Development Agency are collectively seeking low-cost smart solutions that can:
• Improve wayfinding in a manner that can transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor environments and allow users to arrive to their destination or appointment on time.
• Enhance the experience of visitors
• Reduce challenges for the users
For the purpose of this SBIR challenge, three test bed locations within the Dublin Region have been selected, the Main Street of Swords, including County Hall, Swords Castle, and the Swords Cultural Quarter, St. Anne’s Park in Dublin City, and the Grangegorman Campus.
There are a variety of technologies currently deployed and data sources published which are available to be utilised in this project. More information on these, along with the types of solutions which are being sought, can be found in the accompanying RFT document.
Smart Dublin will only accept electronic submissions via etenders.

Description of the procurement

The environment of each location is different and there are specific problems in each, as outlined below.
Swords:
• Enable people of all abilities to navigate their way easily from the south end of Main Street, Swords, to the north end, and vice-versa.
• Enhance the experience of visitors to Main Street and the Swords Civic and Cultural Quarter
St. Anne’s Park and hinterlands:
• To enable people of all abilities to navigate their way easily St Anne’s Park and hinterlands, area of considerable size with multiple entrances, points of interest and uses e.g. rose garden, playground, café, etc.
Grangegorman Development Agency:
• Allow campus users of all abilities to identify and navigate to their destination/appointment/lecture on time or in a timely manner
• Improve the campus’s openness and make it more inviting for visitors and the local community
• Reduce the challenges of users in experiencing/navigating the environment
