Bord na Mona require the chipping of c.80,000 weighed tonnes of logs over a 12 month period, priced in euro/tonne. The chipping process of the logs to the BnM specification involves chipping directly into walking floor trailers for immediate haulage of the woodchip produced to Edenderry Power Station, Ballykilleen, Edenderry, Co. Offaly. The logs are stored at 8 location within 20km to 80km from the power plant. The logs to be chipped will in general average c.30% moisture content but may range from 25% to 35% moisture.
Bord na Móna will employ external haulage for this material, separate tender running.
