The Works Contractor shall be responsible for the construction of a new 7,200m2 steel framed aircraft hangar clad with insulated panels within the airport lands at Shannon Airport, Co. Clare, Ireland. The area includes for ancillary office space, workshops, plant rooms and storage space. Site works including car parking, landscaping and civil works.
The hangar will have an approximate 90m clear span steel roof truss with the works being carried out in poor ground conditions requiring significant groundworks.
The hangar shall be used as a painting hangar and will include significant heating and ventilation systems required for this activity.
The works also include the construction of a new 190m (approx) long taxiway adjacent to the building to facilitate access to the hangar.
