The Health Research Board (HRB) is a statutory body with a mission to improve health through research and information. The HRB maintains five national health information systems in the areas of disability, mental health and drugs and alcohol.
The HRB are looking to establish a single supplier framework agreement for the provision of suitable resources under a four year framework agreement.
Tenderers should ensure that they consider their obligations under the Protection of Employees (Temporary Agency Work) Act 2012 (the “2012 Act”)
The successful tenderer/ service provider will be responsible for the provision of Agency staff on a temporary basis (from two to eleven months) to support the core staff of the Health Research Board as and when required.
Current requirements are as follows:
Two data management staff, one training resource and one database administrator.

Description of the procurement

The Health Research Board (HRB) is a statutory body with a mission to improve health through research and information. The HRB maintains five national health information systems in the areas of disability, mental health and drugs and alcohol.
The HRB are looking to establish a single supplier framework agreement for the provision of suitable resources under a four year framework agreement.
Tenderers should ensure that they consider their obligations under the Protection of Employees (Temporary Agency Work) Act 2012 (the “2012 Act”)
when pricing their Tender. The Contracting Authority shall have no liability for any increase in salaries that may be payable as a result of the application of the 2012 Act to the provision of the Services.
The HRB will require high calibre data support staff over the next four years. Mini contracts drawn down under the framework are expected to range from two months to 11 months in duration.
The successful tenderer/ service provider will be responsible for the provision of Agency staff on a temporary basis to support the core staff of the Health Research Board as and when required.
The HRB envisages there will be a requirement of personnel both temporary cover and to supplement its core staff as and when required. The requirements can occur across a range of areas under the HRB’s Information Directorate – but mainly under the National Health Information Systems (see website for additional information)
