Short description

Contract for the design and construction of improvement works to the existing wastewater collection network at various locations within the town and environs of Letterkenny, County Donegal. The improvement works consists of the construction of new foul/combined sewer pipelines, the construction of a new storm water culvert, and the rehabilitation of existing foul/combined sewer pipelines.

Description of the procurement

The proposed Contract includes the design and construction of the elements listed below. All figures are approximate and subject to the acceptance of the successful tenderers final design:
• 450/400mm diameter sewer 1,410 metres length from Glencar Road at the junction with McGovern Road, along New Line Road, and High Road to the junction of Upper Main Street and Rathmelton Road;
• 300mm diameter sewer 150 metres length at Beechwood Road;
• 300mm diameter sewer 15 metres across Glencar Road
• 300 mm diameter new branch interception sewers approximately 60 metres length from New Line Road to College Road
• 300/450/500mm diameter sewer pipeline approximately 1,520 metres length from Gortlee Road (adjacent to No. 1 Ceannan Court), along the N56, through the N56/Rathmelton Road roundabout, along Rathmelton Road and within the Ballyraine Industrial Estate;
• 225mm diameter branch interception sewer pipeline of approximately 15 metres length across part of the N56
• 300 mm diameter branch sewer pipeline approximately 55 metres length along Kiltoy Road from its intersection with the N56
• 300mm diameter branch interception sewer of approximately 17 metres across Rathmelton Road
• 300 mm diameter main sewer pipeline approximately 590 metres length from Glenwood, along Circular Road to the junction with Long Lane;
• 225 to 450 mm diameter main sewer approximately 625 metres length from Ballymacool / Convent Road / Oldtown Road to Pearse Road at the junction with Larkin’s Lane;
• 450/600mm diameter main sewer pipeline approximately 235 metres length at Duffy’s Lane and Rosemount Terrace;
