Refurbishment of 11 no. single storey one bedroom houses at Ernedale Heights,
Ballyshannon, Co Donegal.
The 11 no. single storey houses are located within 3 blocks on the site, Block 1, Block A and Block B. The roof to each block will be replaced with a new pitched roof with prefabricated trusses with a concrete flat tile finish. The upgrades to the houses include the addtion of insulation to the walls and attics, upgrading the heating system, photovoltaic panels, provision of new porches and alterations to the living room layouts. The houses are to be finished for tenant fitting out but include low pressure hot and water and heating, electrical installation, sanitary fittings, fitted kitchen units and worktops.
Ancillary work includes external services, drainage, footpaths, fences, car park and landscaping work. All existing services on the site serving the houses will be retained. Internal footpaths and open space between the blocks will be upgraded

Description of the procurement

The site comprises of 0.32ha and is located to the north of
Ballyshannon town centre in the residential area of Ernedale Heights. It is abounded to the south, east and west with residential developments. The north boundary is the access road serving Ernedale Heights. The land rises over a gentle gradient from the south of the site to the north.
