Short description
The façade, curtain walling, glazing and cladding contract includes;
Aluminium framed capless stick built glazed curtain walling system to top level 03 of grandstand, Aluminium framed capped stick built glazed curtain walling system to other upper levels of grandstand, Aluminium framed unitised glazed curtain walling system to other areas of grandstand including where built into masonry wall opes,
Aluminium framed glazed window & door systems to lower levels of grandstand & entrance wing,
Glazing to grandstand includes clear & fritted glass units,
Integrated glazed doorsets & window openings,
Specialist fully retractable folding glazed opening system to judges & commentary area at top level of grandstand,
Aluminium framed roof glazing system to grandstand atrium,
Metal cladding system to part of rear elevation to grandstand,
Louvered panels to part of grandstand roof soffit and other areas,

Description of the procurement
The façade, curtain walling, glazing and cladding contract includes the façade cladding and curtain walling to the new grandstand and skylight roof glazing to the atrium. The following is proposed under the contract;
- Aluminium framed capless stick built glazed curtain walling system to top level 03 of grandstand,
- Aluminium framed capped stick built glazed curtain walling system to other upper levels of grandstand,
- Aluminium framed unitised glazed curtain walling system to other areas of grandstand including where built into masonry wall opes,
- Aluminium framed glazed window & door systems to lower levels of grandstand & entrance wing,
- Glazing to grandstand includes clear & fritted glass units,
- Integrated glazed doorsets & window openings,
- Specialist fully retractable folding glazed opening system to judges & commentary area at top level of grandstand,
- Aluminium framed roof glazing system to grandstand atrium,
- Metal cladding system to part of rear elevation to grandstand,
- Louvered panels to part of grandstand roof soffit and other areas,
- Glazed balustrades, and
- All ancillary fixtures and support systems as specified.
The contractor will also be required to;
- Design, supply and install all the detailed systems and section drawings,
- Curtain walling systems to comply with the façade specification, - Develop the façade installation strategy and lifting requirements, - Develop and agree Schedule of Samples mock-ups and prototypes.
- Undertake structural checks for the main façade and roof systems, including loads to be transferred to the structure, agreeing structural movement and tolerances.
- Specific design will be provided in the following areas; compliance with Building Regulations, compliance with fire strategy, compliance with Health & Safety regulations, performances achievable by façade types in order to meet the current Part L Regulations, acoustic performance, etc.
Price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents
