The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has a mission to play a
leading role in transforming Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy
structures, technologies and practices.
The objectif of this RFT is to appoint a service provider who will work with SEAI
and its partners to maintain a secure, robust, accessible system. High levels of
governance controls and supporting SEAI’s continuous improvement process are
critical requirements from any service provider.
The main requirements of the service provider include but are not limited to:
•Development of a new website design to include advice and guidance on
efficient content migration.
•Implementation of a secure Content Management System (CMS) to manage
this website.
•Hosting, maintenance and support of the website. Provisions should be
made for backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.

Description of the procurement

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has a mission to play a
leading role in transforming Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy
structures, technologies and practices.
The objectif of this RFT is to appoint a service provider who will work with SEAI
and its partners to maintain a secure, robust, accessible system. High levels of
governance controls and supporting SEAI’s continuous improvement process are
critical requirements from any service provider.
The main requirements of the service provider are as follows:
• Development of a new website design to include advice and guidance on
efficient content migration.
• Implementation of a secure Content Management System (CMS) to manage
this website.
• Hosting, maintenance and support of the website. Provisions should be
made for backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• CMS training, including technical and user documentation.
• Full search facility to allow for keyword textual searches, inclusive of all
readable document types.
• Integration of social media functionality throughout the website, to increase
traffic and accessibility of website for visitors.
• Advise on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to ensure optimum website
ranking.
• Maintain, develop and build online tools and graphics for SEAI as required.
• Advise on, and as appropriate, implement new technologies or tools that add
value to the SEAI website, improve user experience or enhance existing website
functionality.
