Short description
Under the terms of the Central Bank of Ireland (“the Central Bank”) Archive Policy,
the ownership of all Central Bank registered files and other historical artefacts,
over thirty (30) years old, are automatically transferred to the Central Bank
Archive (“the Archive”) which has been approved to be opened to the public under co
controlled procedures. The Bank has undertaken to launch an Archive Reading ro
room in the new North Wall Quay building where these materials will be available fo
for consultation by members of the public there.
Tenderers should be aware that the total estimated value of the Services sought
does not exceed the relevant EU threshold.Therefore this public procurement
competition is not subject to the EU public procurement Directive (European
Parliament and Council Directive 2014/24/EU on Public Procurement).

Description of the procurement

The purpose of this Invitation to Tender (ITT) is to detail the requirements of the
Central Bank relating to its requirement for a system to hold the archive records
metadata in a hierarchical linked structure; to maintain the metadata and add to
these records each year as the need arises (“the System”). The metadata held s
should conform to international guidelines as specified in ISAD(G), or equivalent.
The System is to provide members of the public with the ability to search and view
the metadata associated with these historical files, via the Central Bank website,
and interface with email to request files for manual consultation (“the Archive
Catalogue”).
