Description of the procurement

Demolition and adjustment of existing sub-standard and flood damaged
accommodation. Construction of new buildings and re-planning existing buildings
to provide and extended, re-planned and refurbished Radiology Department.
The approximate area of new construction is 375sqm, including plant rooms. The
approximate area to be refurbished is 1465sqm. A separate fit out to provide a
temporary CT suite of 185sqm will also be required.
The works are to be carried out in two phases.
The works are to be carried out on the site of a live acute hospital and it is
probable that there will be other contracts being carried out on site
simultaneously.
The works involve extensive structural works, breaking up and re-casting
concrete floors, new drainage systems, new mechanical and electrical services
and coordination of installation of clinical equipment.
The works are sited in the middle of the main hospital floor, in the immediate
vicinity of functioning clinical areas.
