Main site or place of performance:
County Dublin
The project comprises the construction of 120 bed ward accommodation including
ensuite bathroom facilities at Dunlaoghaire Co Dublin.
The proposed building will be comprise a gross floor area of approximately
17,000m2. The building will provide direct linkages to the existing hospital
buildings and will include demolitions and associated site works.
The Works will be carried out on active hospital campus site. Hospital activities
must remain uninterrupted at all times during the Works. Planning permission, Fire
Safety and Disability Access Certificates will be obtained by the Contracting
Authority prior to the commencement of the Works.
Hospital Equipment will be procured by the Contracting Authority and installed by
the Contracting Authority post substantial completion. The Works Contractor will
be required to liaise with the selected equipment provider on matters including
services provision and coordination.
The Works Contractor is required to carry out, complete and commission the
Works in accordance with the Works Requirements and provide full certification
for the Works in accordance with SI 09 of 2014, Building Control (Amendment)
Regulations 2014 within the specified project duration. The Contracting Authority
will separately appoint the Assigned Certifier.
The Contracting Authority reserves the right to carry the works out in phases or to
proceed to carry out the works as one overall project only. The fit-out of a number
of the wards/departments only may be phased
