the Hospital. The AMNCH is ‘Contracting Authority (CA)’ and is undertaking the
procurement process.

Justification:  
AMNCH (Tallaght Hospital) has a growing Endoscopy Outpatient Waiting list. This is as a result of increasing demand which cannot be facilitated by current capacity. Efforts have been made in the Endoscopy Department to increase capacity through the running of additional weekend clinics, but this is limited by available manpower. The tender is to outsource Endoscopy procedures subject to clinical triaging. Hospital to ensure that all patients vetted as Urgent are provided with access to an Colonoscopy. This will clear routine patients waiting greater than 2 months and additional capacity will ensure that we do not breach the 4 week target for urgent patient access.
