to students, staff, tenants and visitors to the Institute during the days the Institute
is open under the academic calendar i.e. the “in-semester” period. A reduced
service is to be provided out-of-semester with no service for approximately eight
weeks from 20th June to mid-August. Further details in RFT

Description of the procurement

The Institute requires the Shuttle Bus Service Contractor to provide a full service
to students, staff, tenants and visitors to the Institute during the days the Institute
is open under the academic calendar i.e. the “in-semester” period. A reduced
service is to be provided out-of-semester with no service for approximately eight
weeks from 20th June to mid-August.
The full schedule will consist of 13 round-trips per day. The bus schedule will be
agreed with ITB but must include four arrivals on Campus before 10am each
morning, Monday to Friday, with afternoon buses departing the campus at 10
minutes after the hour with the last bus departing 18.10. The full service will
operate with either a 70+ capacity bus (in-semester – Service Type A in the
Form of Tender) or a 21-capacity bus (quieter periods – Service type B in the
Form of Tender).
A reduced service will operate at certain periods. This will consist of one 21+
capacity bus in the morning, arriving on Campus at 08.45, and departing at
17.10 each evening (Service Type D in the Form of Tender)
