    a body corporate

    acting on behalf of

    the House of the

    Oireachtas

    (hereinafter

    referred to as the

    “Commission”, or

    seeking to put in

    place a contract for

    the maintenance and

    operation of the

    sound system and

    digital sound

    recording system, to

    ensure that the

    audio output of the

    facilities detailed

    within this document

    is of a sufficiently

    high standard to

    facilitate the

    publication of the

    Official Report of

    Oireachtas

    proceedings and

    public service

    broadcasting. The

    duration of the

    contract to be

    awarded is likely to

    be three (3) years,

    with two possible 12

    month extensions.

    The contract will

    not exceed five (5)

    years in total.

    The following items

    are included in the

    scope of this

    Requirement:

    1. Supply of Sound

    Management and Audio

    Processing

    Components, software

    and services for

    Dáil, Seanad and

    Committee Rooms,

    including

    a) Management of

    Sound equipment

    components,

    including

    microphones,

    microphone switching

    and loudspeakers

    b) Supply (or

    re-use) of necessary

    amplification,

    switching and

    distribution

    equipment

    c) Supply of

    necessary software

    Components

    d) Implementation of

    Digital Audio

    Recording (DAR),

    Audio

    achieving/retrieval

    and creation of the

    audio for the

    production of the

    Official Record.

    This will include

    supply of

    application

    software, database

    and necessary

    workflow processes.

    It is envisaged that

    the existing Audio

    application,

    database and

    workflow components

    will be replaced.

    e) Management of

    audio feeds,

    including feeds for

    mixing with video.

    The Houses of the Oireachtas Service, a body corporate acting on behalf of the House of the Oireachtas Commission (hereinafter referred to as the “Commission”, or “Contracting Authority”) is seeking to put in place a contract for the maintenance and operation of the sound system and digital sound recording system, to ensure that the audio output of the facilities detailed within this document is of a sufficiently high standard to facilitate the publication of the Official Report of Oireachtas proceedings and public service broadcasting. The duration of the contract to be awarded is likely to be three (3) years, with two possible 12 month extensions. The contract will not exceed five (5) years in total
