    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) are seeking expressions of interest from companies

    specialising in the supply of digital video recorders (DVR) to the public transport

    industry to participate in a tender process for the supply of approximately 60

    (sixty) DVR units.

    As an option to the proposed contract, IÉ will be also seeking proposals for the

    supply of approximately 94 (ninety-four) 1080p resolution forward facing

    cameras and an additional 31 DVR units.

    The DVR units are required as a replacement for life expired equipment

    currently installed on a number of fleets of rolling stock. As such, any proposed

    replacement DVR will be required to interface with the existing installation with

    minimal modification work to the vehicle required. The DVR equipment will be

    required to operate from a 24v DC supply.

    Selected equipment will be required to be in conformance with the requirements

    of EN 50121-3-2, EN 61373, EN 50155 and EN 50124.
