    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of softwood timber

    sleepers.

    Delivery is to Portlaoise Sleeper Factory, Knockmay Road, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

    The specification that the softwood timber sleepers must adhere to is attached

    to this notice.

    A Pre-Qualification Questionnaire is also attached to this notice and a hard copy

    must be completed and returned as directed.

    Please review Section 5 SELECTION CRITERIA in the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.

    Section 5.1 refers to MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA and is broken down as 1.Minimum Financial Qualification Criteria and 2. Minimum Technical Qualification Criteria

    Section 5.3 refers to TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL ABILITY which will only be applicable in the event that the criteria in Section 5.1 are met.

    A tender will be issued to all companies who successfully pre-qualify with the

    intention of entering into a fixed price contract with the winning tenderer.

    The Contract will be valid for Three Years.
