    As part of a Campus Development Plan, Dublin City University is progressing

    plans to construct two new facilities on Campus (Stokes Building Extension and

    Student Hub Re-development). This procurement process is for the construction

    of the Student Hub Building Re-development. The project has an indicative value

    of approx. €13m.

    The works include the demolition of the West part of the Student Hub building

    including the demolition of an existing 2 storey redbrick building facing North on to

    The Mall (the main quadrangle on the DCU campus) and the single storey

    strucutres to the rear of it up to the South campus ring road, and the consruction

    of circa 3,800m2 of new build over 2-3 storeys on the cleared site.

    Is the intention of DCU to procure the demolition and associated works separately

    and provide a clear site for the selected contractor.

    The re-development will provide much needed facilities for social spaces, clubs &

    societies spaces, Student Union offices, retail spaces, meeting, conference and

    seminar rooms and student support spaces.

    Any works associated with the relocation of existing users for the duration of the

    works will be under a separate procurement process.
