15/158 - Strategic Watermain Link between Leixlip and Saggart
Ireland
Design and Construction of a Water Pumping Station and Trunk Watermain to
advance the Strategic Watermain Link between Leixlip and Saggart, to provide
greater flexibility in the management of water transfers in the Greater Dublin Area
and therefore improve the overall resilience of the water network.
The works to be undertaken under this Contract include the following:
Design and Construction a watermain interconnector, approximately 6.7km long, to link between Peamount Reservoir and Saggart Reservoir and thereby provide connectivity between Leixlip and Saggart for the conveyance of an initial capacity of 40ML per day, and up to 100ML/d, in either direction.
Provision of a new Pumping Station at Peamont Reservoir with an initial capacity of 40ML per day and which can facilitate future expansion up to 100ML per day.
Gravity connection to Leixlip Water Treatment Plant.
Gravity connection to Peamont Reservoir.
Provision of a new Reception Chamber at Saggart Reservoir which can facilitate 40ML per day initially and a future expansion up to 100ML per day.
Automation of all valves, pumps and mechanical equipment through a SCADA system linked to reservoir levels.

Requests to participate may be submitted by single entities or by groups of service providers. A group will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a request to participate, but may if Ervia considers it necessary to ensure that the contract is carried out to its satisfaction, be required to do so prior to award of the contract. Ervia also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Ervia considers appropriate.
Other particular conditions to which the performance of the contract is subject
If any of the conditions set out in Regulation 53(1) of The European Communities (Award of Public Authorities Contract) Regulations apply to the applicant, the applicant will be excluded from the competition.

The Questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of candidates. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
