    Provision of sludge thickening and dewatering facilities and upgrade of existing

    sludge treatment faiclities at Inniscarra Water Treatment Plant, and the operation

    and maintenance of only the sludge treatment facilities for one year with the option to extend this to two years.

    Total quantity or scope:

    The works to be undertaken under this Contract include the following:

    • Upgrade of the sludge treatment facilities at the Innsicarra WTP, to treat sludge generated by the production of up to100Ml/d treated water at Inniscarra WTP.

    • The upgrade works includes but is not limited to:

    o Construction of filter washwater balancing and solids separation facilities

    o Provision of sludge thickening plant and sludge dewatering plant

    o Provision of all intermediate process storage tanks and transfer equipment

    o Provision of sludge treatment and control building

    o Provision of SCADA and Telemetry system for sludge treatment

    o Permanent diversions and work on live process and drainage pipework up to 1,000mm in diameter

    o Provision of emergency overflow septic tank

    • Decommissioning of existing sludge equipment and demolition of associated tanks and sludge storage lagoon

    • Works associated with diversion of storm water from process line

    • Associated civil works, site works, on-site access roadway and landscaping works.

    • Provision of all ancillary facilities required to ensure a fully functional facility

    • Operation of the sludge treatment facilities for a period of 1 year with Irish Water having the option to extend this to two years.

    Requests to participate may be submitted by single entities or by groups of service providers. A group will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a request to participate, but may if Ervia considers it necessary to ensure that the contract is carried out to its satisfaction, be required to do so prior to award of the contract. Ervia also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Ervia considers appropriate.

    A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Shared Services Procurement Manager to tenders@ervia.ie

    The Questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 12:00hrs Wednesday 27th January 2016. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
