    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    NUI Galway is seeking to enter a contract with a competent provider for the provision of a Library Services Platform (LSP) preferably delivered through a cloud based solution Software as a Service (SaaS) which will support its library operations and which will continue to be developed and supported through the addition of new business functionality and the adoption of new technologies over the next three to ten years. The contract which will be awarded initially for a period of three (3) years will also include the support and maintenance of the LMS for up to a maximum period of 10 years.

    The opportunity of replacing the existing LSP is taken in the context of a rapidly changing information environment and an increased expectation that NUI Galway will provide innovative and appropriate support through its Libraries for research, teaching and the learning strategies of the University.

    - without prejudice to the principle of equal treatment, the contracting authority is not obliged to engage in a clarification process in respect of tenders with missing or incomplete information. Therefore, tenderers are advised to ensure that they return fully completed tender documents in order to avoid risk of elimination from the competition
