    The Contracting

    Authority is

    initiating a Tender

    process for the

    replacement of

    equipment supporting

    the Dáil (Lower

    House) and the

    Seanad (Senate, or

    Upper House) (the

    Chambers).

    The Requirement is

    for:

    • Supply of Delegate

    Units, Sound

    Equipment and

    cabling (the

    ‘Delegate Units and

    Sound Equipment’)

    suitable for the

    Dáil, Seanad and

    Committee Chambers.

    Delegate Units will

    include facilities

    for automated Member

    Identification and

    Authentication

    (eventual use or not

    is subject to

    approval by the

    Commission).

    • Electronic Voting

    (eVoting) equipment

    as part of the

    Delegate Unit,

    cabling, application

    software and

    database

    • Installation and

    configuration of the

    Delegate Units and

    Sound Equipment, to

    replace equivalent

    existing facilities

    • Putting the

    Delegate Units and

    Sound Equipment into

    live operation,

    including testing

    • Providing a

    Support Service for

    the Delegate Units

    and Sound Equipment

    estate after

    go-live, including

    daily operation of

    the voting system.

    • Integration of the

    Delegate Units and

    Sound Equipment, and

    associated software,

    with supporting

    back-end Oireachtas

    ICT infrastructure.

    The successful

    Tenderer will be

    required to work

    where necessary with

    the Oireachtas ICT

    Unit toward

    Integration with,

    consolidation of and

    rationalisation of

    elements of that

    infrastructure.

    all Equipment must

    be of the highest

    quality and have a

    minimum design

    lifespan of at least

    15 years.
