Multi Supplier Framework Agreement for the Provision of Translation Services (excluding Irish)
Ireland
The purpose of this competition is to establish a Multi Supplier Framework
Agreement for the Provision of Translation Services (excluding Irish) with a
minimum of five (5) and a maximum of ten (10) Framework Members (subject to
the quality of tender responses).
The Framework will be available for use across the entire public sector.
The Framework Agreement will be divided into six (6) Lots as outlined below:
Lot 1: Central Government Departments (excluding the Department of Justice and
Equality)
Lot 2: The Department of Justice and Equality (excluding An Garda Síochána)
Lot 3: An Garda Síochána
Lot 4: The Health Sector
Lot 5: The Education Sector
Lot 6: Local Government
Contracts will be awarded for individual Lots following mini competitions amongst
Framework Members.
The Lots as described are anticipated but not guaranteed. The Contracting
authority reserves the right to alter these Lots if required to do so by Framework
Clients.
Multi-Supplier Framework Agreement
for the Provision of
Translation Services (excluding Irish)
Ministers of the Government of Ireland, Central Government Departments, Offices and non-commercial Agencies and Organisations (excluding the Department of Justice and Equality and all bodies under its aegis) which have a formal reporting and legal relationship to Central Government Departments, including but not limited to The Office of Public Works and the Defence Forces.
The Department of Justice and Equality its Offices, Agencies and other bodies which have a formal reporting relationship to the Department including but not limited to the Courts Service, the Irish Prison Service, the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service, the Office of Refugee Applications Commissioner, the Refugee Appeals Tribunal, the Legal Aid Board and the Reception and Integration Agency).
An Garda Síochána is the national police force of The Republic of Ireland. It is headed by the Garda Commissioner, who is appointed by the Government. For policing purposes Ireland is divided into 6 regions which are in turn further divided into divisions, districts and sub-districts. Each sub-district usually has 1 police station. Currently there are approximately 560 Garda stations throughout the country.
Contracting authorities in the Irish health sector including, but not limited to, the Health Service Executive (HSE), the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) and bodies including hospitals delivering health and personal services funded by more than 50% from HSE and / or Central Government Exchequer funds.
Primary, Post Primary, Special and Secondary Schools, Vocational and Third Level Educational Establishments including but not limited to Education Training Boards (ETB’s), Institutes of Technology, Colleges of Education and Universities.
All Regional and Local Government bodies including but not limited to Regional Assemblies, City and County Councils and library bodies.
