Provision of School Routers and Associated Services and the Management of existing School Routers

Currently there are approximately 3,200 schools connections in place under this
programme, the majority of schools have one broadband connection with a small
amount of schools with two connections. The Existing Routers installed in schools
are either a Cisco 871, a Cisco 881 or a Cisco867VAE router (specification
attached at appendix 9). In addition to the routers in place in schools the Minister
also owns a number of spares (approximately 290). The Minister wishes to put in
place a draw down facility for the purchase of new CPE routers for schools. In
addition to supply of the new CPE router the provider will be expected to manage
the existing estate of routers.
Turnover in excess of €100,000 per annum for each of the past three (3) complete financial years. At least 75% of the Tenderer‘s turnover in each of the past three complete financial years must have originated from the supply of telecommunications products and services and associated logistics
In order to qualify for inclusion on the Framework Tenderers must demonstrate that they have the following technical and professional abilities. Tenderers will either pass or fail this qualification criterion:
The core services offered by Tenderers must relate to the provision of telecommunications goods and services and associated logistics.
All Tenderers must demonstrate that they have the experience to provide high quality services of a similar type to those sought herein and must furnish the following documentation with their Tenders:
a. A list of services similar to those sought under this RFT provided by the Tenderer within the last 3 years, giving an indication of the scale of the project, names of service recipients, estimated contract values, contract performance dates of the services provided and
b. Two satisfactory references (including contact name and contact details). The proposed referees may be contacted as part of the evaluation process without prior notice being given to the Tenderer
