    The provision of comprehensive, high quality, flexible and responsive school and

    office contract cleaning services at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT)

    campus at Port Rd. Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. Cleaning services will include

    regular scheduled interior cleaning of teaching and office accommodation,

    housekeeping/janitorial services and external cleaning of car parks, and grounds.

    Periodic cleaning services will include interior deep cleaning and cleaning related

    to special events.

    Total quantity or scope:

    Customers of the service will comprise approx. 3,000 full-time students, 450 staff, and visitors to the Institute.

    Cleaning Service Providers will supply all equipment and cleaning materials necessary to undertake the service including waste disposal sacks for bins. The campus comprises 27,000 sq m of school and office buildings on a 31 acre site. The buildings comprise of a mix of general and specialised teaching rooms, office accommodation, toilets and circulation areas, restaurant and dining spaces, business incubation/development units leased to 3rd party licensees, and an assembly/sports and fitness area. Some building areas are cleaned by others (in house domestic cleaning staff and catering concession operators) as detailed in the Tender Documents. The area currently cleaned by in house cleaning staff will be cleaned as part of the contracted cleaning services from May 2016.
