    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    The Chief Mechanical Engineer (CME), Chief Civil Engineer (CCE), Signal and

    Electrical (SET) and Building and Facilities (B&F) divisions of Iarnród Éireann (IÉ)

    have small scale regular requirements for Metal Fabrication Services using mild

    steel, stainless steel and aluminium. IÉ are therefore seeking applications from

    suitably qualified and experienced companies to participate in the Pre-

    qualification process to establish a multi-party framework agreement for Metal

    Fabrication Services on an ongoing and nationwide basis.

    Most services required under the framework will be small scale and take place off-

    site i.e. items will be manufactured at the contractor’s premises and delivered to

    various IÉ locations around the country. However, occasional on-site fabrication

    may be required at any IÉ location. An element of design work and metal finishing

    or coating (e.g. protective primer or powder coating) may also be required as part

    of a process.

    The duration of the Framework shall be three (3) years with the option to extend

    by one (1) year up to a maximum of four (4) years.
