    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    An Post is seeking preventative and reactive engineering support services to look after specified equipment on 7 sites (detailed below) five days per week (Monday to Friday). The Service Provider will be responsible for the creation and management of an agreed Preventative Maintenance plan. Services would also include additional support services to cover equipment failure due to breakdowns or damage. Most of the work will be carried out in buildings that are occupied and continuity of business will be required at all times.

    Equipment to be supported shall include:

    •Boom Loaders

    •Conveyors

    •Fork Lift Trucks

    •Power Pallet Trucks

    •Repair Service only for Hand Pallet Trucks

    •Repair Service only for All Mail Centre Rolling Stock (Automatic levelling trolleys (ALTs) and Grange Trolleys (wheeled trolleys for internal mail movement)

    Locations of service provision:

    •Dublin mail centre

    •Portlaoise mail centre

    •Merrywell

    •Athlone mail centre

    •Cork mail centre

    •Galway

    •Limerick

    Contract duration: 3 years with an option to extend for a further 24 months on a year by year basis.
