Contract for a Civil/Marine Engineering Contractor with a Piling Specialist
Dublin 1
The Contracting Entity, Dublin Port Company is now engaging in a
competitive tendering process for the appointment of civil engineering contractor
with a piling specialist pertaining to the Alexandra Basin Redevelopment Project.
The requirements are for the undertaking of construction of Cross Berth Quay at
Dublin Port (part of the Alexandra Basin Redevelopment Project). The primary
works elements required are 250m of New Quay Wall being built to Western face
of the existing Alexandra Basin. The quay wall is to be constructed as a steel
combi-wall construction with depths of tubular steel piles to be in excess of 35m.
Works will also include for associated ground anchoring and any necessary
earthworks. The quay will be completed in a phased basis and may include
additional return quay wall construction on the Northern Section of the Basin for
distance circa 100m. The quay walls will be completed with capping beams and
mooring bollards.

A grouping, if successful, may be required to contract as a single entity having joint and several liability but subject to the agreement of the contracting parties.

1) Interested parties must register their interest on the eTenders website (www.etenders.gov.ie) in order to be included on the mailing list for clarifications. All information relating to attachments, including clarifications and changes, will be published on the Irish Government Procurement Opportunities Portal (www.etenders.gov.ie) only. Registration is free of charge. The contracting authority will not accept responsibility for information relayed (or not relayed) via third parties.
2) This is the sole call for competition for this service.
3) The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers.
4) If, following the conclusion of the competitive process, it is not possible to award the contract to the designated successful tenderer; or if having awarded the contract the Contracting Entity considers that the successful tenderer has not met its obligations; the Contracting Entity reserves the right to award the contract to the next highest scoring tenderer on the basis of the original competition and as tendered by that party all within the tender validity period. This shall be without prejudice to the right of the Contracting Entity to cancel this competitive process and/or initiate a new contract award procedure at its sole discretion.
5) At its absolute discretion, the Contracting Entity may elect to terminate this procurement process,or any contract awarded at any time.
6) The Contracting Entity reserves the right to successively reduce the number of participants during this negotiated procedure. The Contracting Entity may gradually reduce the number of tenders to be negotiated.
