    THE WORKS COMPRISE the construction of 29 Nr. Residential Units: including: 20 - 2 Storey 3 Bed Houses, 3 Ground Floor 2 Bed Apartments, 6 – Duplex 2 Bed nits, and Associated External and Site Development Works as Detailed all in accordance with the Architectural and Engineering drawings and details attached to this notice.

    Cork City Council is committed to ensuring that our actions contribute to social, economic and environmental well-being now and in the future; improving the environment, building stronger communities, reducing social inclusion and poverty and encouraging the development of the economy.

    The ‘Cork City Northwest Regeneration Masterplan & Implementation Report’ Adopted by Cork City Council on the 14th November 2011) states, “It is imperative that Regeneration is a focus for generating job choices for local people. There is scope to promote social inclusion in each contract that is awarded for redevelopment, including (but not exclusively) construction and security.”

    Accordingly, the successful Contractor will be required to support Cork City Council’s economic and social regeneration objectives. The Works Requirements will include a requirement that a portion of the successful Contractors labour resources, used for the delivery of the Contract, will be made up of specifically named target groups, namely, those that are unemployed for over 12 months.
