Framework Agreement for the Provision of Architect Lead Design Team Services
Co. Kildare
Kildare County Council proposes to establish and operate multi-party Framework
Agreements for Architect Lead Design Team Services primarily to provide
consultancy services in connection with the provision of or alteration to the
Contracting Authorities new social housing stock. The range of projects which will
fall under the scope of the Framework Agreement will include but is not limited to:
• New multi-unit social housing schemes on green or brown field sites
• Small infill housing schemes
• Major refurbishment of multiple existing dwellings, occupied or unoccupied
Services to be provided may also include feasibility studies and reports related to
housing developments or sites. Services may also be required in connection with
non housing related structures such as libraries, community centres, fire stations,
offices and other structures in the ownership or control of Kildare County
Council.The proposed Framework Agreement is intended to run for an initial 12
month term with the option to extend for a further three 12 month terms (a
maximum total term of 48 months or four years). The nature of the consultancy
services that Kildare County Council wishes to avail of will be in the form of a
design team lead by the Architect as the design team leader. Each of the other
construction consultants, Structural/Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying,
Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, and Project Supervisor for the Design Phase
will be sub-consultants to the design team leader.

Following the conclusion of this tender process it is intended that the top ranked tenderer will be awarded the Initial Contract for the provision of technical consultancy services for the construction of the 20no. unit’s in Kilcock. However Kildare County Council, at its absolute discretion, may decide not to award the Initial Contract but may continue to use the results of the tender process to establish the Framework Agreement.
If for any reason it is not possible to admit to the Framework Agreement one or more of the tenderers invited, following the conclusion of this competitive process, the contracting authority reserves the right to invite the next highest scoring tenderer(s) to join the Framework Agreement as appropriate until such time as the required number of Framework Participants have been admitted to the Framework Agreement and the Framework Agreement has been established.
