    The Contracting Authority invites tender submissions for the supply, installation, validation, and commissioning of a transmission electron microscope, the supply of any necessary components and accessories

    needed for the functioning of the required equipment and the provision of

    In the first instance, the Contracting Authority will enter into a contract for the supply and installation of the required microscope and the provision of appropriate support and maintenance for a four year period. As a recurring option that may be availed of solely at the discretion of the Contracting Authority, subsequent one-year contracts for the support of all supplied equipment may be awarded until the obsolescence of the microscope. Tenderers are advised that the maximum available budget for the supply, installation and commissioning of the required equipment is between €140,000 and €225,000, exclusive of VAT. This figure includes the provision of a warranty period of at least 24 months and user training. The Contracting Authority recognises that subsequent service contracts following expiry of the warranty period will incur additional expenditure.
