Timber Harvesting Services 2016
Various locations throughout Ireland
In line with Coillte’s established policy for contract procurement
we are now inviting expressions of interest from suitably
qualified harvesting contractors interested in mechanical,
harvesting, forwarding, and cable/skyline work in 2016. In order
to be admitted to the Qualification Panel for 2016 it will be
necessary to for you to complete your Expression of Interest
details by registering/gaining access to the Coillte Supplier
Management System.

complete the qualification questionaire and all other relevant details/requirements.
It is Coillte’s policy to employ competent contractors to carry out
our harvesting operations and we are committed to investing
and assisting all contractors in our qualification panel with
information, advice and training in order to meet the
technological changes necessary to be more competitive and
efficient.
Details of long and short term contract packages will be
circulated to qualification panel members. It should also be noted
that, in order to be eligible for any harvesting work in 2016, it
will be necessary to register and qualify for the Qualification
Panel.
Forestry services are classified as non-priority services falling
under Annex II B of Directive 2004/18/EC. These services are
covered by Articles 23 and 35(4) of the Directive only, to the
exclusion of the other provisions. Thus, while such
procurements are not expressly covered by provisions of the
Directive, the award procedure is nevertheless being
conducted in accordance with the principles of equal treatment
and transparency.

A group if successful must contract as a single entity having joint and severable liability.
