    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    Mary Immaculate College‘s Library (constructed 1970‘s) is significantly undersized

    for the current size of the College (approx 4,000 students), and does not support

    21st century modes of learning or technologies. There are Building Regulations compliance challenges with the building. MIC is seeking to deliver a significant new Library / Learning Resoource Centre, to replace the existing Library, and to demolish the existing Library on completion and occupation of the new facility. The new facility is envisaged to extend to circa 5,000 square meters.

    This is a two stage procurement process;

    1. Prequalification - leading to a tender short-list

    2. Tendering - leading to a preferred bidder.

    MIC intends to create a tender short-list of 6 applicant teams; subject to at least

    six team applications demonstrating compliance with all Minimum Standards as

    set out in the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) documents.

    If more that six applications demonstrate compliance with all Minimum Standards,

    the submissions will be qualitatively evaluated to determine the six highest scoring

    applicants.

    For Qualitative evaluation of submissions; the team weightings are:

    1. Architect 55%

    2. Civil / Structural Engineering 15%

    3. Mechanical & Electrical Engineering 15%
