Electric Vehicle Charge Point Installations
Various locations in Ireland
This service requirement covers the installation of Domestic Electric Vehicle (EV)
Charge Points suitable for charging electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid
electric vehicles (PHEVs) for use in private premises, as part of a country wide roll
out undertaken to support the use of electric vehicles in Ireland.
The Charge Points equipment involved which may be manufactured by more than
one supplier will be supplied free-of-charge to the appointed contractor(s) by ESB
ecars. The scope covers the installation of Domestic EV Charge Points connected
to a household distribution board and/or commercial distribution board. The work
shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, some civil, electrical and
mechanical works as required to install this kind of equipment.
The installation work will be carried out in domestic dwellings and/or Commercial
premises located throughout Ireland. Only registered contractors (RECI, ECSSA)
shall be considered for this contract.
Up to a maximum of approximately 1500 installations

- Louth, Meath Kildare, Dublin, Wicklow, Carlow & Wexford
Vehicle Charge Point Installations in region 2 - Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway, Roscommon, Longford & Westmeath
Electric Vehicle Charge Point Installations in region 3 - Clare, Offaly, Laois, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Cork & Waterford

A grouping if successful will be required to contract as a single entity with joint and several liability.

In order to be considered for participation in the tendering process, Interested parties must complete the pre-qualification provided and submit it via the Etenders website before the deadline stated.
Following evaluation of pre-qualification submissions received, and depending on their quality, ESB intends to invite a maximum of six candidates for each lot, to participate in a tendering competition for the award of the contract, or contracts.
