Operator for a Café in the ILAS Building - Competition restricted to social enterprises or equivalent entities

This Pre-Qualification Questionnaire is for the provision of a social enterprise café at the Institute for Lifecourse and Society (ILAS) at NUI Galway. This is a service concession contract, in that the successful economic operator will be rewarded for the delivery of the required services through access to the opportunity to operate the café located in the ground floor of the ILAS building. The competition is restricted to social enterprises, registered charities or organisations whose primary objective is the development of social inclusion for socially disadvantaged persons or the long-term unemployed. Firms who do not operate within this context should not apply. NUI Galway wishes to engage an experienced service provider for this concession contract that will provide a quality, professional service in keeping with the ethos of ILAS. In the first instance, candidates are invited to complete and return the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (Appendix A) this can be downloaded from etenders.gov.ie (RFT 95154), which contains qualification criteria to assess candidates’ financial capacity and previous experience. Completed Pre-Qualification Questionnaires must be emailed to tenders@nuigalway.ie by 12noon on Thursday, 28th May 2015. Site Visit: Candidates are invited to view the café facility at NUI Galway on Thursday, 14th May 2015 at 2.30pm . A maximum of two people per candidate is allowed. Please email tenders@nuigalway.ie before 5pm Wednesday 13th May to advise who will be attending.
