    Irish Water plan to undertake the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant (2,500 PE) and new marine sea outfall together with modifications and upgrading of the existing wastewater collection system including the construction of two new pumping stations and associated rising mains.

    Contract to include for the operation and maintenance of the the works for a period of two years post construction.

    The proposed Contract includes the design and construction of the elements listed below. All figures are approximate and subject to the acceptance of the successful tenderers final design:

    1. 1.7km of gravity sewers with invert levels in excess of 6.0m

    2. 3.6km of rising mains

    3. 2 no. pumping stations

    4. Storm water storage tank

    5. Rehabilitation of the existing sewer network

    6. Waste Water Treatment Plant with a PE of 2,500

    7. 0.5km of marine outfall

    The proposed Contract also includes the operation and maintenance of the following elements on completion of the Design-Build Works for a two year period:

    1. Waste Water Treatment Plant including marine outfall

    2. 2 no. newly constructed puming stations and associated rising mains

    Requests to participate may be submitted by single entities or by groups of service providers. A group will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a request to participate, but may if Ervia considers it necessary to ensure that the contract is carried out to its satisfaction, be required to do so prior to award of the contract. Ervia also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with one member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Ervia considers appropriate.

    A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Shared Services Procurement Manager to Rachel.Ahern@ervia.ie

    The Questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17.00hrs Tuesday 6th June 2015. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
