    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    One of the principle objectives of the RCSI Hospitals Group is to improve patient access and to reduce waiting times. Currently, a number of waiting lists are exceeding the National Target that no patient will wait longer than 18 months for an Outpatient appointment by 30 June 2015 and no longer than 15 months by 31 December 2015. The national target for Inpatient and Day Cases is that no adult inpatient will wait more than eight months for their procedure. The successful service provider appointed as a result of this competitive process will assume responsibility for delivering a number of procedures in the fields of endoscopy, ENT and dermatology.     This framework agreement concerns the provision of medical services and, in particular, the performance of a number of different medical procedures. This framework agreement will have a maximum potential duration of four years and will be used to satisfy the requirements of RCSI Hospitals as a group and also the requirements of the group‘s constituent hospitals.
