    Beaumont Hospital intends to enter into a contract with a single service provider for the operation of a managed typing and transcription service. The successful service provider will be responsible for implementing a secure mechanism whereby recorded material is collected from the hospital, accurately transcribed and returned to the hospital in an agreed format and in a timely manner.

    Total quantity or scope:

    This contract, with a maximum potential duration of four years, relates to the provision of typing and transcription services. It is anticipated that this contract will be primarily utilised by Beaumont Hospital. However, all RCSI Hospitals (Connolly, The Rotunda, Cavan General, Monaghan, Louth County and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda) may also avail of services under this contract. No guarantee is offered or is to be inferred regarding the number of hospitals that will ultimately use this framework agreement or the volume of business to be placed with the successful tenderer. Any hospital availing of services under this contract will be responsible for agreeing individual terms and conditions with the successful tenderer.

    This contract will have a maximum potential duration of four years. In the first instance, a contract of two years’ duration will be entered into with the successful tenderer. At the discretion of the Contracting Authority, this initial two-year period may be extended for two separate one-year periods. Tenderers are advised that the extension of this contract will be contingent upon, amongst other matters, the successful tenderer’s performance, various financial considerations and the continued strategic appropriateness of the contract.
