    Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

    A core component of our customer service is offering a high standard of cleanliness throughout our stations and trains. A customers’ first experience with Irish Rail begins when entering our stations and travelling on board our trains. This interaction is always commented on when seeking customer feedback.

    Customers expect that the rail stations and train services that they use for their travel journey are presented to them to them in a state of cleanliness that they would expect to experience at any other modern facility.

    Irish Rail – Iarnród Éireann (IE) wish to engage a company to carry out the following Cleaning Services

    Passenger Carriages (circa 117,000 per annum across 10 locations)

    Station buildings and concourses (circa 37 locations)

    Dublin / Cork train turnaround cleaning service (Heuston Station only) (on the hour every hour between 07.00 - 22.55hrs)

    DART Network Station (circa 30 locations)

    Miscellaneous buildings, offices and depot facilities (circa 42 units)

    At times IE will request the successful contractor to carry out deep cleaning and window cleaning services on agree designated locations.

    Exact locations and numbers will be confirmed to those candidates who are shortlisted and invited to tender.
